We are one of the largest cocoa manufacturer in Malaysia, specializing in manufacturing cocoa powder and cocoa butter. By using the latest technology and technical know-how from Europe, our products are marketed all over 5 continents. Due to the good recognition in the industry, we are being able to attract one of the larger cocoa trading company in America as our join-venture partner at Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor. In view of the rapid growth of our new plant, we are now looking for dynamic, highly motivated and committed individuals to embark on a challenging and rewarding career for the following position:

Engineer, Production
(Johor - Port of Tanjung Pelepas)

Responsibilities:

    * To generate and maintain production schedule on a daily / weekly / monthly basis based on estimated materials and manpower status as well as the machinery requirements.
    * To monitor production progress against production schedule from time to time and to analyse the schedule when necessary.
    * To liaise with related departments to ensure the continuation of product flow.
    * To resolve discrepancies in actual versus planned production loadings in fulfilling prompt delivery requirements.
    * To provide solutions to improve production efficiency, equipment performance and product quality.
    * To communicate down and feedback relevant information and to ensure effective communication to the production floor.
    * To ensure that all machinery and tooling equipment used for production are in prime operating condition.
    * To be responsible for manpower planning and monitoring of jobs to justify overtime requirements.
    * To ensure that production floor Quality, Process and Safety procedures are met.
    * To prepare weekly / monthly production progress reports and suggest countermeasures for any production error due to issues related to quality, manpower and materials.

Requirements:

    * Possess degree in Food Technology/processing, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
    * At least 2-3 years experience in food industry, well versed with ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP.
    * Good knowledge of deodorizing and fat/oil analysis will be an added advantage.
    * Aggressive personality with good interpersonal and communication skills.
    * High integrity with good analytical and problem solving skills.
    * Able to work independently as well as being a team-player with strong commitment to department harmony.
    * Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.
